How to choose the right quantity of vinyl records?  

The most ordered quantities are 250 or 300 copies. Does that already seem like a lot to you? Know that with these quantities, the unit price becomes really interesting to maximize your profit when you sell your album. Moreover, you'll sell at concerts, on your online store, even to record stores if you have a distribution contract. So it can go quickly, especially if you do a pre-order campaign on the internet, with a limited edition.

And then, when you release your second album, you can always make a pack with your vinyl records so it's better to have a good stock. ;)

And we also offer you a super cool pack that will allow you to pay even less: the Release pack which includes digipack or digisleeve CDs, vinyl records, flyers, posters and square or round stickers of the quantity of your choice! Once this quantity is decided, which options to choose? 

We offer you many options in terms of vinyl. Regarding the diameter, you have the choice between 7", 10" and 12". For the number of revolutions between 33 and 45. Plus lots of options to pimp your vinyl and its cover such as colored, splatter or transparent records. You also have the possibility to print booklets and square or round inserts.

We would rather tend to recommend the 12" format or even 12" Gatefold, since it's a large format, the visuals will be bigger, it's more impressive! You also gain in playing time and sound quality. For packaging, the advantage of the gatefold is that you have more space to insert your images, immerse the owner of your awesome vinyl in your universe and especially stay as close as possible to the CD cover you pressed in digipack or digisleeve.

7" and 10" are often favored for singles, EPs or splits, or for grindcore albums!

Regarding packaging, we advise you to opt for a plastic sleeve rather than shrink-wrapping. It's the same price and has several advantages:

• The plastic packaging won't end up in your trash or in nature because it will allow you to protect your vinyl in your bin like any self-respecting collector
• You can easily slip a download card into each of your records. Pro tip: you can print them from your Bandcamp. ;)
• You won't struggle at your merch stand removing the cellophane, and damage the vinyl, for the clumsiest, when fans ask you for an autograph on the cover.
• By choosing a sleeve packaging, you also have the option to order stickers that you can stick on top of your vinyl packaging. Indeed, it's not always easy to be identifiable, especially if your band name is at the bottom of the cover... A good point to stand out and highlight your band's strengths that will make the collector take your vinyl out of the bin, and this at a low cost!

Our pro tips: For the release of your new album, opt for colored vinyl or even splatter. It allows you to create an exclusivity for the first pressing which will be collectible and will surely boost your sales. You're then free to do a more economical second pressing, on black vinyl, once the first pressing is sold out.
